Starting bids: R2,000 each

These 22 Thinking Owls were made by various Artists in Cape Town and Africa, in partnership with The Thinking Fund. They will be auctioned by Candice Berman Fine Art Gallery to raise funds to sponsor disadvantaged students to study a year course in Design at the Academy of Digital Arts in Cape Town and also to provide support where possible for a need for financial assistance towards art supplies and transport.

The auction will take place online only where prospective buyers can place bids at minimum increments of R500 starting at R2000.00. The artwork is then sold to the highest bidder. Owls can be collected from Candice Berman Gallery in Bryanston or from the artist studios in Cape Town.  Note to all bidders: The delivery costs (courier service) of any of the art pieces in other regions, are not included in the purchase price of each individual Owl, this will be for each Purchasers’ own account.

This year, the bidding process will be set over a month, starting at 11.00am on Saturday 1 April and ending Sunday 30th of April at midnight. Bidding will be open throughout this period. The physical owls are available for viewing at Candice Berman Gallery in Bryanston.

These fundraising efforts are important elements in the development of socially connected, resourceful young artists.

Proceeds are donated to The Ori Foundation – a Registered Section 21 Company. Tax Compliance Certificates issued on request.
